The Completion Properties panel allows you to enter properties for the type of completion the well has.  For detailed information on what properties are available for each type of completion see the appropriate completion subject below:

 

NO COMPLETION:  Completion effects are not calculated.  This is applicable for open hole completions or when the well is tested and rates and pressures are measured downstream of the completion. This is the recommended method for doing screening work since entering the completion parameters that are unknown will waste your time and not add value.  Once you have a specific goal to model perforations of gravel packs, then it is simple to add additional detail.

 

PERFORATED CASED HOLE - QUADRATIC FLOW:   The pressure drop across open perforations is calculated using the radial quadratic flow equation based on the  perforation geometry and the compacted zone permeability.

CASED GRAVEL PACK COMPLETION:  The pressure drop across a perforated cased hole gravel pack completion is calculated using the quadratic linear flow equation
